The Hypertune 102mm throttle body (model HYP-TB102) is engineered for high-performance applications, particularly in drag racing, and is capable of supporting engines producing up to 2,000 horsepower.

• Material and Construction: Crafted from CNC-machined 6061T6 billet aluminum, this throttle body offers a balance of strength, precision, lightweight design, and aesthetic appeal.

• Shaft and Butterfly Design: It features a 10mm diameter slotted steel shaft paired with a 2mm thick brass butterfly. This combination enhances resistance to bending, making it suitable for supercharged and turbocharged setups. The shaft is blackened to resist corrosion and improve appearance. The butterfly is machined in an elliptical shape with a 7-degree taper to ensure a perfect fit within the throttle bore, improving sealing and reducing the risk of binding.

• Bearings: Dual sealed ball bearings securely position the shaft and butterfly, eliminating shaft float and wear. These bearings also provide smooth operation and enhanced sealing, contributing to a longer service life compared to traditional bushings.

• Pulley and Rotation: The throttle body includes an indexable pulley that allows for adjustment of the cable position to suit various applications. It is available in both clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation options.

• Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Compatibility: Various TPS adapters are available, enabling direct attachment of most common factory TPS sensors. This feature simplifies installation and eliminates the need for additional TPS components.

• Spring Mechanism: A custom-made stainless steel spring ensures smooth, linear action and positive return. The spring is housed within a stopper barrel section, protecting it from foreign objects and enhancing the throttle body's appearance.
